This is a 1980s does a 1940s two piece set. The jacket is a bright red heavy knit with long sleeves, peplum, three lrage frog clasps in the front, black, piping, and shoulder pads. The skirt is a simple black knit straight style with an elastic waist and small hem slit in the back for easy movement. It would look great with a big brimmed hat, gloves and a clutch. The label reads "Caron Chicago, made in the USA, machine washable", feels like a polyester blend. It's in excellent condition. Jacket measures 38 inch bust, 28 inch waist, skirt measures 26-32 inch waist, 40 inch hip, and 28 1/2 inch length. Shown on a mannequin measuring B36" W25" H36". This is an authentic vintage piece in wearable condition, that was cleaned and repaired (if necessary).
